fund-raisers went well! we raised around 2 grand for the p-shop. $600 from the print sale alone! awesome! micah jackson, luna vroum and lil’ milk all did an amazing job, as did everyone who participated/helped out/provided space. thanks! if you came, thanks for coming! if you were one of the very, very few people who was a douchebag at the door, fuck you! <3 <3
MICAH JACKSON will also be performing at the steel-yard fundraiser SATURDAY MAY 17TH @ 10pm you can buy tickets in advance if you want, they are $10. it will be totally fun (promise).

one time me and mimi had 2-shark monday, in which she tattooed two sharks on my two legs (on a monday). in a way, i guess, this poster commemorates that. but more IMPORTANTLY it advertises the nite-time 1/2 fun part of the 2-part as220 community p-shop FUNdraiser which is may 3rd 11-3pm and 10pm-?????. please come if you’re in the area! it’s at narwhal arms and attractive male dj duo micah jackson will be there.

its for a GOOD CAUSE; totally.

AND MOST IMPORTANTLY (of course), i am vaguely alluded to in both articles (albeit somewhat inaccurately).
from the brown daily herald:

i especially like the brown daily herald’s article, as islay is billed as “cynical” and “sardonic”, which is entirely accurate. oohhh p.s. don’t forget to friend the girls on myspace.

TOMORROW, aka friday march 14th from 7pm-11pm, the esteemed dirt palace is having some sort of bizarre, feminist, performance-y art show at PS1 in queens, nyc. it’s $8 at the door, $6 in advance. free booze, if you’re into fred (wtf is fred????). and then, there’s a dance party.
anyway, i’ll be there. here’s some more info (and a map!) and i guess maybe PS1’s official site and schedule of events would be helpful, too. OR the poprally site, whatevs.
